Question
Vess Prop and Balance Ring

I am using a vess prop and balance ring. My problem is on my 50cc eg aircraft the prop will balance with approx. 3-4 set screw in the balance ring. When I add the stock spinner it takes all the screws to balance. Some people have written that they are only using maybe one to three screws. Anyone have any experience with these and can maybe share what they found? Thanks.

I would still balance your prop, spinner, and back plate all separate first and then use the vess balance ring to do them all together. The only way i don't do that is if I'm using a falcon prop with tru turn spinner as those usually come pretty well balanced and then I only need 2-3 screws. Of the few cheapy carbon spinners I've used, they've required alot of attention to get anywhere close to balance.
