Bill Hempel's NEW 25% Decathlon

Hi Guys,

Here are a few pictures of the New 25% Decathlon. This airplane is a new release and is suited for 30cc-50cc motors. We have the standard 'pocket' hinging on the ailerons and comes in the scheme shown. Wing span is 100". We just shipped a bunch of these out so hopefully, you will see a build thread here soon.

Will any of these 25% / 50cc birds you have coming out have Flaps and float options available?

Looks beautiful. How far does a 50cc cylinder head stick out the bottom of the cowl?

Well, I had the option of putting flaps on this airplane when I was designing it... but because of my 1/4 scale clipped wing Cub, I decided against it based on final weight of the airplane. I didn’t want to add flaps, needing more structure and the addition of (2) servos would have added enough weight to where I believe would affect the flying characteristics of this airplane for the worse. If you can keep this airplane light, it will be a real keeper!

Looks great Bill. I still have my 50cc Yak I got from you. Still love it, but it sure would be nice to add one of these to my collection, or your 50cc L-4. Heck, maybe both! Keep up the good work. You put out some nice planes at reasonable prices. Good to see when now days many 50cc planes are close to the $700 mark.
