My Edge is finally done!!! I had the yak and all I can say is WOW.. The quality and performance are sweet! I finished my edge but it was too windy to fly today I mean.. it was 40 mph wind other wise I would have flown the plane!! These planes handly up to 20 mph wind no problem!!! It is all stock but the top of the fuse which I cut out some vinal to place on top to match the fuse. Makes it blend in real sweet!!! The weight came out at 17.7 ounces. Not bad for a 40 inch wingspan foamy WITH AN AIRFOIL!!! Check these planes out.. they are sweet... www.airfoilz.com or www.3dxhobbies.com

I still have my Yak and am loving the heck out of it. Every time the wind calms down, I take in front of my house and do some huckin. It's pretty durable, too! I was hovering it belly-in in front of me and reached out to grab it, but the wind caught it and it went in on a wingtip. Nothing but a ding on the wingtip! Loving this thing!

i think im gonna get the yak for the summer. do u think that i would save some weight if i didnt put that decals on it?

You wont save to much wait, or i should say that weight shouldnt effect it flying heavy because its a bigger foamy and you'll probably fly it outdoors, and plus it wont look good. You gotta love the decals!

The decals could save some weight but tony is right.. it does look a lil funky without the stickers. The edge's graphics are vinal so they are really light.. the yaks graphics i think are different. I got one of the early'er yaks and they had different stickers.. but i dont know if they are the same. I didn't put landing gear or stickers on mine and it came out at 15.5 ounces but I wish i would have put the stickers on. A little weight doesn't hurt how these planes fly I found out!!!! I would just put the stickers on.

I painted my Yak, didn't use the landing gear, and used hs-65's on the tail and it came out to 16 ounces.

I liked the landing gear on theses planes... Its removeable! So I put the landing gear block inside and if i dont want to use the landing gear I can just take the the landing gear out If I want to put it back in, I can just put it back in!!!

I flew it today!! It flew really good. Although it flew like it was nose heavy it was still pretty active. 10MPH wind didnt bother it at all. This one handles wind a little better i think because it is 2 ounces heavier because I did not change anything on this kit. 17.7 ounces is still super light for a 40 inch foamy. It is way to early to know the differences between this one and the yak but I think this one tumbles a little better.. More flights to come
