Hitec sent me some new parts today so I could service my own 7950s. (2 new pots and case sets to restore the NEW 7950s I robbed parts from for the tests I did)
Some are reporting to not have problems at all after 30 flights.I have also observed this first hand on a fiends plane.(his where purchased recently in the past 6 months) This only points to the fact there are a few 7950 out there that are holding out a little longer. In time I believe they too will experience this jitter problem....unless Hitec has made some changes that they are keeping secret in the newer production . I also noticed that the amps they replaced in mine have a different print on them and the cases are slightly different shape too with a rubber boot made to cover a cap on the that is on a track between the + and - motor terminals. And a depression in the bottom case cover to give more of an air gap. This was NOT the original design. So I know for a fact that they have been making changes in the 7950. They totally deny it.... yet here is solid visible proof. Why??? Also remember the jitter issue came back full force after Hitec serviced them too. I just wonder if there are also invisible changes they have made in the newer production. |

You did a great job contributing to the information pool surrounding the 7950th problem. I hope that you can reproduce or retake those pictures they would be extremely helpful in finding a customer solution to the 7950 problem. It seems your technician can zero in on a real fix. I think there would be a lot of people interested in what he has to say, but I understand if he will not do it for free. Paul |

But he told afriend of his who makes robots and this chap rang me today and suggested putting a decoder IC on top of the one on the board and solder the pins to each other he said that if it's being over driven that will solve the problem ???????????????? I've heard of people doing that to regulators has any one heard of doing what he suggested, it's way above my knows but To me it does sound logical in a sort of way. Rachael |
