1st Contest of the year. This is usually the best one as everyone is enthusiastic and full of delusion - after the contest we all realize how bad we really are and our hopes and dreams are shot for any real glory for the rest of the year

With that said - I am at the front of the bus baby. New class, new plane, fresh practice under my belt, and hopes of flying well.

Who else is going? Anyone showing up early to get some flights in? Predictions on winners?

Hopefully when it's over we can get some pictures on here of the downtrodden and dejected

Be careful at superstition, someone could show up with a huge cub and win your class. You will experience feelings of frustration and self pity.

Ah the fun of competitions and judging...

I flew very good the 1st round and was in 9th... I flew AWFUL the 2nd rd compared to the 1st and my scores for the 2nd were better and i moved up to 8th.... after 7 rounds and 5 contests it generally always seems to work itself out... can be frustrating getting to the end of the season though....
