I have been keeping quiet on the disgraceful turn out for the champs hoping it would improve at the last minute but obviously I was wrong.

From my perspective (and everyone else that is investing time organizing the event and the field) we couldn't be more disappointed with how many locals have decided not to fly and to be completely honest I am feeling ripped off. Similar to Bogan and the Kiwi's attending this event the people coming from the East Coast comes at significant cost in both time and money and I was really hoping it would be worth it.

as was mentioned earlier it seems to be that the dual flight lines seems to be the root cause and it really disappoints me that the rest of the world does it successfully at every event but Australia just cant seem to grasp the concept (not much to grasp really though )

As I said before, disappointed to say the least but even might go as far as saying **ssed off probably describes it better.

BTW, Zac cant make it as he is getting married this weekend and will be on his Honey Moon during the event..

Whats worse is it seems that only the top guys seem to have an issue.... Look at all the sportsmen and intermediate numbers.
Obviously they have more balls then the top guys!

Guys I think it is not healthy to assume the numbers are down because of the two flight lines. If you all recall a vote was taken on the Friday at the last champs to fly duel flight lines and everyone voted for it with the exception of one which meant we stayed with one line. I think most are ready to have a go at the to lines and enjoy more flights.

I to can't understand why so many guys in Unlimited from Perth don't have there names down but guess they have good reason to not be there. I think a lot of the Unlimited guys have moved on or are taking a break from the hobby. Go to Asaa and look in all our comps and you will see not many flying advanced or unlimited anywhere.

Guys i know a few of the unlimited guys here in perth have work and other commitments or are having a break from flying comps. as for advanced pilots we currently only have 1 here in perth.
I was going to fly in basic however due to not flying in a comp this year and my plane not yet ready i have decided to not fly.
Im going to concentrate on the 2013 season.
However don't let the lack of entrants discourage you guys come on over and have a good time I look forward to meeting all you guys whilst your here.
