AJ Slick muffler tunnel
Just bought an AJ Slick. Very nice airplane. It has a large tunnel set up for a cannister muffler. There is A LOT of extra wood used to make this tunnel and there is a bunch more wood to add to the tunnel when using such a muffler. I like to fly light planes and will not be using the cannister muffler. My question is whether I can cut out all of that extra wood which forms the tunnel without sacrificing the fuselage strength. I can always add small ply stringers to help stiffen things up if the strength is lessened. Please let me know your thoughts. Thank you.
