yep, right on Scott. moving the pullies on the servo arms would have reduced my mechanical advantage. on the other hand.......instead of moving the bellcrank position like i did, i could have moved the pullies on each servo in toward center one hole on both sides of every servo. that would probably give me even more torque for the same amount of reduced throw. its hard to know for sure with a cable system and 4 servos. its working well as is, so im not going to jack with it anymore........."if it aint broke, dont fix it"

Boy! If most of us followed that simple rule of "if it aint broke, dont fix it" We all would be bored with our planes. Always tweaking to make it fly better.

Here are the pictures of the servo arm on my 72" 3DHS Extra, look how tiny the servo is compare to the control surface...

I called my sponsor up and they sent me couple of new servos to test, new servo is Digital, Titanium gear called "Fi Tec" (ya, I know the name sucks but it's free). It suppose to deliver 257oz@6 volt, that translate to 100oz more than my current HiTec 7985MG.

Will give it a shot and also shorten the servo arm to see what's up.

Please take a side shot of the link when the surface is centered and at full throw. Looks to me like you need the link on the back side of the servo arm. Alot of guys set them up the way you have them because it's easiier. You want the link to be straight whan at full throw . Here's a picture of my 40% sbach see how they are not straight at center , then straight at full throw.

I was trying fast roll for couple minutes last week and was immediately told to fly further far away from crowd

Keep us posted on that Fi-Tec, the specs are impressive. Are you sure it's blowback that your getting?

I am pretty sure it is, because if I throttle down to 3/4 then it roll fast without any resistance.

alternatively, I've learned to start rolling at mid speed then gradually increase to full throttle, that way the aieron able to maintain at full travel.

still need to find a time to test the Fi Tec servo, since I am more concern about how reliable they are, I might leave it on the plane for a few months.

I know most of you say rudder & elevator but I just use elevator at high speed rollers ,if I use both I climb out even at low rates....

I know one thing...If you want to increase your roll rate and you don't have hinge tape on the wings...then put them on!!!! I put hinge tape on my plane today and it increased the roll rate probably by 40-50%!
