Re: IMAC sunglasses???

Nick--I've had prescription Oakley, Zurich's, and currently Maui Jims. The Oakley's were nothing special in regards to contrast. And the frame broke 3 times. The Zurich's were very good in the contrast area. But after 7 yrs. the frame broke so I went with Maui Jims, which are as good or better in regards to contrast as the Zurich's, but the frame is much more quality than either of the others.

Looking at your avitar it looks like your average size guy like me. I was looking at those "elevate" glasses, are they big enough that they cover your eyes completely. Most sunglasses fit me (6' 3" - 265lbs) like they were made for my wife, 5' 1" - 105lbs.

There is a good reason why Serengeti only makes one lens.
You owe it to yourself to at least try them before you put down your plastic on another.

Serengeti is a good pair, but they make more then one lense for the serengeti. You have to make sure it is the Driver lense, it won't give you problems with LCD screens and sunlight.
The touch down is a good model of the modelglasses, I like mine quite a bit. The lenses are easy to change which is nice.

Try the Cocoons. Several of us down here in Sierra vista use them and they keep the wind out of the eyes very well. The Pilot style seems to be the best fit over regular glasses or alone.

I usually have the same problem. These fit me very well....wrap all the way around. That's why I decided to buy these at the show in Toledo.....they actually fit!!

not quite "average." When I was a senior in high school, they had to go to the local university to get me a football helmet to fit!!

Gary,

Are you sure that didn't happen because of the beverages you were consuming???

We need to see some pictures and links!

vsanp- thanks for qualifying the "Drivers Lens". That is quite important.

Thanks for all the advice. I placed an order for a pair of the modelglasses. I went with the 'Touchdown' units. For $65 and 3 different shades of lenses, it's worth a shot.
