Looks like you missed an input on that rolling circle. Sucks though, and that crunch was horrible.

good call on that one i took my cowl off today to try and tweak the needles and low and behold the hall sensor was plugged in backwards. now the carb needs to be looked at. ive got the bottom of the carb at the diaphram is wet with gas. i did reach 7400 rpm on a vess 22a. neverending,i got a saturday off of work and im foolin around with this engine more than im flying. i did get one flight in that ended with a deadstick. brought it in safe and sound and now gotta pull the engine so i can take a look at the carb. the plane did fly incredible.

Hey all. I have the 100cc BH Yak 55 and made some cowl mount improvements that some may have interest. It may have already been discussed but im not going to read through all the threads. I drilled two holes at the base radius in the cowl ring and into the fuse where they meet. Then blind nut it from the back and ca'd them and sat them into the fuse. I made a 2" cutout relief without taking the side area of the scoop at the bottom. This retains the lines. And will enable you to get your finger up the scoop to get the 7/64 allen started. Bolt the top three cowl bolts on and align and secure. Then drill from the front of the scoop two access holes to feed a 7/64 ball driver through and tighten securely. This really adds stiffness to the cowl and reduces the vibration considerably. Easy to remove as well.
