Setting up a Smartfly Ignition Cut-off with a regulator
I'm trying to figure out the correct way to wire up the smartfly opitcal cut-off with a Castle BEC as the regulator. The manual states that the regulator needs to be between the receiver end of the optical cut-off and the ignition.
So here is how I think I need to set it up, but I just want to be sure. 2S lipo will be connected to a switch. Switch connected to the Switch/Battery input on the receiver end of the optical cut-off. Ignition output on the optical cut-off to the battery input side of the BEC. BEC output (normally would go to a receiver) to the ignition. Does this sound like the correct way to go? The manual states that the smartfly optical cut-off can handle 8.5v, so voltage shouldn't be a issue. Thanks. |

How's that for service? Post a question before you go to bed, it's there in the morning. Class act.
