it will pull out as a torkroll surprisingly with very good power! I was thinking I would eventually need to buy a DA 120 to fly this plane. not the case I am not even considering tuned pipes or canisters now it's not needed.
I've seen a lot of the Pilot Edge 540's fly with the DLE111 on stock, and I'd have no problem owning one of them too. It's on my short list because of the 3D capability, the weight, the inexpensive power system (stock muffs), Chief's support, and I find the Edge wing configuration a lot more forgiving. And I need a lot of forgiving.

Got the red one and started reading the EF thread. Reading about troubles with the black covering not sticking on that scheme so hopefully it got sorted out by now. It shipped this morning. Crazy thing is my DA100L is being checked out now and I may try to sell it, and if successful get a 120. So much for my thread title... Seems like they are all using the 120 on that thread! And yes I would like mine to be overpowered too! These big planes handle the power well.

I think the da100 is a great motor. I had a brand new one in the cabinet, and I put it in a pau edge with a set of re2s. It turned the 100 into an animal. I think it's close to my da120 if not equal. That's just me though. It might be worth looking into a set if pipes

For sure if I kept the 100 I would go with those smooth pipes.
