If you have deep pockets, comp arf makes the sickest Corsair I've ever seen. They have a few more good ones but not quite as big.

Top Flight still sells kits for 85" warbirds. They also sell them as Almost ready to cover.
Yellow aircraft is another.

Hey Jeeum how've you been? Long time no hear!

Airworld has a couple in fiberglass, I believe sierra precision also has a 1/5 scale fw 190 in glass. How much do you want to spend? And how much building have you done. Do you want one to fly or one to scale out for competition? Right now you can get some good deals on used already built planes too.. Its a lot easier to pimp out a used plane than to build one from the start. Of course you do need a good solid plane to start with. There are a few warbird guys on here but I would suggest you visit the warbird forum on rcu. Tons of builds, etc on there. I was pretty much ready to pull the trigger on the AFR zero that TBM has when I found a good deal on a built airworld 190. Big and warbird gets expensive pretty quick...

Not really looking for a ready to fly. It's more of a project. The price will depend on how much my dad wants to spend. He was over Sat. surfing the net and he couldn't find anything, so I thought I would ask the FG members for some help. He's board with the Yak's, Extra's etc. He's been building for the past 40-45 years so he can build just about anything that is put in front of him.

You know some of the balsa usa kits for ww1 planes are pretty good planes too, don't know how well your dad can fly, but ww1 has some advantages, no retracts, generally fly good, and are relatively inexpensive in the overall scheme of things..

Ziroli or Meister Scale. Meisters fly pretty well for warbirds and they have a near flat bottom wing (at least the ones I've seen) yet appear really scale.

I'm building a Ziroli 100" Stuka at the moment. The plans are easy to understand so much that the 2 page instructions he gives you are plenty. You can frame one up from a good short kit in less than a week if you work at it and then spend the rest of the time in scale articles or finishing.

You have to ask around, some kits are more scale than others and some kits are MUCH more flyable than others. Obviously depends on the subject as well. The Stuka and P-47 being pretty much the easiest and going up from there.

While the very idea of thinking that we just might not need another YAK or Extra seems heretical to say the least, I have always thought that a 50cc or 100cc ARF of a P-51 done up as the Miss America Reno racer would be killer!! Or some true Warbirds too.

But gladly the people who make the planes are wiser than us and know that you just cannot have TOO many YAKS/Extras/Edges.

Good to "see you" again Jim.
