sbach 30cc rudder

maybe i should have posted the question in this section ........

i have a sbach 30cc which i have been flying for a while now , if i apply full rudder while straight and level it wants to dive for the ground , could anyone explain why this is so , and if it is normal

Sbachs have a characteristic called "coupling". They like to pitch toward the belly with rudder. You will note the same thing when flying knife edge (it will pitch toward the gear). You will need to mix in about 10% up elevator with rudder to compensate.


All airframes do this a little (sometimes they pitch the other direction though), but I've noticed Sbachs are extreme. This is a big reason I've never gotten another Sbach after the first one.
