Any concerns with the prop spinning? looks like a drilled prop would be better ? Just curious

How can it spin?? If anything, the nut will get tighter. Look at the Zenoah line of engines.

If it's not pinned, yeah, it'll spin. (I dunno if those have a locator pin or not)
It's probably not going anywhere... not coming off, but as the wood compresses
over time and the prop bolt needs a bit of tightening, it will indeed spin.
A buddy has a single-bolt mod on a DLE55.
Over time, his usual 2 o'clock starting position becomes closer to 12 o'clock.
Time to re-clock it and tighten it up again.

I don't think I like the 60 as single bolt, it must have something to do with the electric start, but I've changed several 30's to single bolt.

Does anyone know if the prop hub bolt from the DLE 55 is the same as the EME 60?

Are you referring to the center drive hub nut, that secures the hub base on or the 4ea prop bolts? The 4 prop bolts share the same spacing/grip length/pitch as the DLE 55(at least they're the same on mine) and I ASSume the center hub assy is the same as well but do not know for sure...

Yes the center drive hub nut/prop center guide. Mine is damaged and MHRC only sells it with the hub for $25 but Tower has just the nut for only a couple bucks. BTW, I'm rebuilding the engine as the lower con rod started to make some noise after approx 150 hours. It has about 2mm of up and down play with a lot of metal shavings in the cases but the bearing did not self destruct. MHRC warranteed the whole thing except for main bearings and spark plug as they were fine but i wanted to change anyway. Getting the new IKO bearings on the crank along with brand new cylinder/top end. She should be good as new. It only had about a month to go on warranty. The customer service from Mile High RC has been OUTSTANDING. To buy EME from anyone else is simply a mistake.

Edit: 150 flights, not hours

Awesome, thank you. I was just heading off to the LHS to order it but still wasn't sure.

BTW, my engine had 150 flights on it before the rod bearings failed, not 150 hours as I originally posted. Still though, it has been run hard and I'm getting the new upgraded parts from the factory. Great running engine, great warranty support and a dealer committed to the brand keeps EME high on my wish list.

Has anyone had to change the needle settings on the eme 120? I found I had to richen both needles quite a bit. I am using 35:1 like the manual suggested. Wondering if that is normal?

On my EME 120 the bottom end is 1-3/4 turns and the top 1-1/2 turns. I run 32:1 redline its perfect

I had been putting off flying my 40% Pilot RC Decathlon for about a year. I had put a new 120 in her and had been running her up at 40 - 1 for about 5 tanks. Finally got her in the air and after about a 5 min flight she dead sticked. No issues, landed with no problems. When I got t the plane I discovered that the engine had seized. Took the cylinders apart and one of the rings had torn apart the head. I guess I shouldn't have waited to long to fly her because I don't think I can get any warranty.
