The decathlon has a wider fuse and probably a bigger wing cord. A third scale cub with 144 inches of wing would look very small next to a decathlon with the same wing span.

Comparing this to a 1/3 scale Cub is not apples to apples. A Cub has a much higher aspect wing.
Compare scale...38% vs. only 33%. This Decat as mentioned above would look huge sitting next to a 1/3 scale Cub.

Wing loading/flying weight is very good. Note the video.

I am using the Mej 27 x 10. On an unlimited aerobatic model I like the 27 x 10TH withthe DA-100, but on the Decat I prefer the non "th" blade.

Just noticed that the Decathlon's wing cube loading is almost the same as the UM Ask-21! It's 6.5 for the Decat and 6.1 for the ASK. I calculated this with the Decat's maximum weight. (42lb) When I calculate this with the Decat's minimum weight (38lb) the wing cube loading is 5.9! I'm impressed!

Oh and Mike, what's your timer set to with the stock tank, 27x10 mej, and DA100?

Probably go a bit longer than 10-12 min though. Depends how you fly it, but typically I'm using a lot less throttle than with an IMAC/3D model.

Sounds good. Will probably set my timer to 5 min as I'll be torque rolling, doing blenders, waterfalls, and rolling harriers

12 min it is.

Would it be worth adding a servo operated choke? And how about looping the vent line above the tank?

I dont like a choke servo on a front mounted carb. Not really needed. On the Decat you can reach right thru the air intake and flip the chole butterfly.
Yes, I always loop the vent line around the rear of the tank. Adds a lot of airtime by stopping siphoning in the air.

Hi Mike, any chance you could give me the measurement across the horizontal stab. Hope it will fit in my trailer.

Cheers
