New Giant Scale Company.

Hello guys,

I am here to try out a new idea. I would love to hear what your opinions are. I am sure the majority of you guys are familar with WildHare RC. As most of you know, Tom went out of buisness a few years ago. I understand that he made some decent airplanes. I live about 20 minutes away from Tom and I recently went over to his house and had a chance to chat with him for a while. As I was talking to him, I was saying to myself that maybe I could get his designs and start making airplanes again, and starting a new company specializing in giant scale aircraft. If it were to happen, it would be made up with a friend and I. Tom, as nice as he is, said he would help us get going and give us adivce. He also said, he would sell us the rest of his left over invetory to get started. Now the question is, what would ya''ll ( The buyers) be most interested in? What size? 20cc, 30cc, 50cc , 100cc? and what deigns? Of course, it would all depend on what people are buying these days. I would love to hear from ya'll and see what you suggestions/opinions are. And if this goes any further, we would bring back most of the airplanes that people loved and have gotten good reviews. I hope to hear from most of ya'll soon!

Well the Quality ARF market is very saturated and there are a lot of guys trying to take the same old things and make them new again. Unfortunately, the extras, yaks and Edge's have been so tweaked and modified that the only thing scale is some minor similarity in appearance to the original. Do something that is NOT a Yak, Sback, Edge, Extra Cub etc. I think QQ is on the right track by starting with a blank sheet of paper and not worrying about scale. Re hashing old wild hare designs will most likely not net the results you desire. ARF companies tend to be flavor of the month type things with EF being at the top of the heap now. just my $.02 good luck if you take the plunge

If it were to happen, I would not use his previous designs, but improve them to make them better. Of course I would have new up to date products too.

You would be my hero if you brought back the Cap, say a 35% to 40%

If you made this guy in a 50cc size you'd be a hero.

nothing special about WH airplanes that if you decided to go forward you would need to have Tom's name attached to it. I wouldn't touch his old inventory - it would sell for a fraction of what it sold for new, it is obsolete in its design, cannot be supported, and will do nothing to help create a new customer base. don't fall for the illusion - it is a highly competitive business that requires a pretty serious financial commitment and the ability to create global markets.

I have not bought any of his aircraft. Just some odds and ends. He does not have any aircaft available. But I would buy and provide the latest in design and top quality aircraft at a reasonable price . And good customer service too.
