To address the cowling.... I took all of the best of the many different extra 260 cowlings out there, and created one that has nice flowing lines to go with the fuselage. I also went with the smooth oval in the front like many extra 260 cowlings have. With the design scheme that I have planned for this plane the shape is going to make it all flow together. I am also keeping it sleek to deal with drag.

@ fabmaster911 The annual fun fly is being postponed this year. The guest house has been rented out.

Hi Joe this is Matt, I met you at WAM when Tony inviteded me out, good to see you and Brent and Dave on here. That 260 is mighty impressive, you have done a awsome job on that bird.
How ya gonna set her up? Tony turned me on to those 4020's you guys have been runnin and threw them in my new Edge on the ailerons and they have been great. I spanked the Extra 300 in Nov. due to a hitec lockout, no more A9 for me. That last time I was out there with all you guys at WAM I tiook some killer video of your 232 but there was a few choice words on that vid and dont dare share it with out some editing. Take care and I look forward to seein her in the air.

Matt, thanks for the compliment!
I am going to set this one up with heightec 7950TH's. I am glad to hear that you like the 4020's. They have been working out good for 100cc and below. A key thing that I have learned with the 4020's is that you need to make sure and grease them with a quality servo grease on a regular basis of once to twice a year (or if you see the servo starting to jump). I would really like to see that video you have. If you could get it posted and send me the link, that would be awesome. You can call Tony for my number and email if you would rather send it that way.

Thanks

I would maybe think twice about the 7950s before you buy them if you already haven't. Pretty good thread on here about them. Just trying to inform you about faulty servo that hitec is still selling. . I will never buy hitec again. Sad too because that's what is in all my planes.

Also this is one sweet looking bird so far!!

Thanks for the heads up. It is really sad that hitec is having such a problem with the quality of their servos. It seems like all of the companies are having issues of some sort or another. When you get to this size of plane you have to remember that you are pushing the limits of the servos. I have been experimenting with Chinees servos in the 100cc and 50cc planes (I would never put one in my 40% plane though). They have worked good, especially for the price. I am flying with a JR 11x, what would be your recommendation? I am sure hitec will resolve this issue.
Thanks

I think I am gonna try the Savox line of servos on my future builds or when I need to replace ones that go bad or start acting up. Sorry if I got off topic here.
