So I need help with battery setup. I plan on running straight 2 s for servos. What do I need for ignition and how are the switch and fuel dot setups. Thanks

Battery wise use whatever you need for your servos, I don't know what type of 2s you are referring to. FOr ignition to save weight I went with an IBEC. Otherwise use whatever you engine requires. The fuel dot just drill a hole in the side in a convenient location that works and is not in the way of anything. Be careful one of my friends drilled a hole to mount his and then realized afterwards the front of the wing covered his fuel dot and he had to move it. You can see in my pictures I mounted my fuel tank under the wing where there is a spot made for it. They don't tell you that in the instructions though. Then the batteries, fuel dot and ignition can be mounted in the nose area.

Anything from a 26cc to a 55/60cc. Mine with a DLE 30 has unlimited vertical and will hover. It is the lightest one I have built yet. It should really fly nice when I get my DA 35 the end of this month and put it on. The biggest thing with the larger 55 cc engines is getting enough prop clearance. Bending the gear in some and using larger wheels helps, but you still have to be very careful. I found a 20x10 three blade worked good on the larger engines as it maintained good prop clearance.

BTW if you plan to use a set of standoffs from a 55 you will need to file the ends that bolt to the engine to make them fit as they will hit the bolt heads that hold the crankcase halves together. At least they do on the 30.

So I received the kit. And great planes did an awesome covering job. How do I mount the rudder servo. Front. Do I do the[Q] same with elevator. Pics would help. Thanks sooo much. Also should I just screw in control horns. Thanks.

It is designed to have the servos mounted in the rear as shown in the instructions. Most of them turn out tail heavy so I mounted my rudder servo under the wing and ran a pushrod to the back. The pictures are a page back on post 19.

Think I could make a carbon rod work for the rudder in that location

From the wing area I doubt it. From the tail, no problem. I used one of those Great Planes solid wire pushrods with the white plastic outer sleeve. It is not like it is a precision or 3D bird. The rudder is not used near as much.
