That is so shiny, I though the top of the cowl had like a recess put in it but then I realized it was a door frame or whatever was reflecting off of it.

How many revisions has this plane gone through, I'm afraid I'm going to end up getting an outdated kit from chief aircraft.

As far as I am aware the only revision was to the tail incidence, which was wrong on only the very first models, would expect all of Chief's to be corrected. The only other issue has been with the stock landing gear that seems too springy and prone to delamination. There is a newly produced carbon gear that will see to this, getting mine next week when Craig returns from FXFC.

hi guys.

yep all the latest kits have been updated :-)

we changed the incidence, added some more glass layers to the top side of the canopy frame, Changed the UC legs from Glass to carbon and use a new technique to laminate UC legs to make them stronger, canopy frame securing tabs have been changed to 4 bolts.

Ivo Kryl is an amazing guy and is always making sure his kits are top quality.

Has the inside corner of the wing-to-aileron been reinforced to prevent the crack that was in another thread on this site?

If I recall correctly that was on the older skin-hinged wings. These new birds are center hinged, which eliminates that issue as well as needing a bunch of aileron differential, as the travel up and down equally.

A page back, there were pictures of the new split cowl - cut for the DA-200.
Does anyone have completed pictures showing how the upper and lower halfs are mounted together.

Thanks - J Tab

I am very indecisive! I have recently seen the ZDZ 180 what do you think? or is it better a dle 170??
waiting for your advice, and please excuse me for my english

Imho the ZDZ180 is the better 170cc class motor right now... It's absolutely the most powerful (many are running 32x12...) the lightest (lighter than a DA170) and it's very smooth too.

With a pair of RE3 it's hard to beat..
