I agree that there are quite a few that would think someone was serious about what I said. The ones that have the sense to know better are the ones I enjoy talking to. I guess how would you know unless you test the waters just like you did. I really enjoy a lot of different things and all types of weapons is one. Responsible enjoyment with them is good. Keep them coming.

A friend was trying to sell me his tac light. Told me to bring it home and see how it fit. He has a 226 in .357 sig and wanted to see how it fit on my gun.

This thread has been quite an education for me. I'm fortunate to live in a country where I've never needed to own/carry a gun to feel safe - I hope never to have to. I must also say, it's nice not having to worry what kind of mental state my armed neighbor is in today.

So I shoot my .45's more than anything and have been feeling a little guilty about shooting the old Colt National Match too much (From before colt came out with the gold cup) I have been thinking of tightening up the other .45 a little, any advice on what the best things to do to it are? I was looking at putting in a wilson combat "drop in barrel" and bushing. but not sure if there is anything else worth doing to it. Also considering putting a new trigger in as I much prefer the feel of the colt N.M. Also any advice on adding a full length rod guide, or changing spring tension, or trying a compensator? any advice appreciated.

I don't own guns "to feel safe", although I do feel safer having one at home.
