It has a sand like something or other and kinda feels like a sand paper texture, but I assure you.. wet shoes won't slip. Sharpie stains forever!! LOL Got everything installed and road tested it today. Everything stayed put just fine. This thread gave me soooo many ideas. For now I'm just going to make sure I can get where I go and back with everything.... Nall Bound!!! WAHOO!!!

it sounds worse than it is, I used the Valspar Non-Skid paint.. it required an oil based primer to use on wood and is fuel/oil resistant while giving a sure footing so I can't slip and fall on my plane trying to get everything stowed away when a freak thunderstorm attacks our field. We just wait it out as they usually only last 15 min or so. So far I love my Jeep also... especially the Hemi The factory hitch on the Overland is so high from the ground I ended up getting a 7 1/2" drop hitch and now the trailer is just a slight nose high.

Yes, hi-temp shrink tape, keeps the flex area of the header more stiffer

Mine is still a blank canvas. I have been waiting for temperatures to warm up enough for me to start working on it.
