Quick pics, nothing special. I will put a shelf on the side when the 107" Edge is done. I like to have walking room without unloading.

So far it hasn't bothered me, but may sand it out and go with something else, just wanted to protect it ASAP.

Then a few hundred posts back I saw something that stuck with me. Whoever did the thingy like this, Thanks for the GREAT Idea!! So I broke out the ol battery power tools, did some cut'in, some drill'in, then got to play with the new powder coating gun. 25min later at 400 degrees I get nice red goodies that show my lack of proper/enough preparation. Sharpie stains forever!! LOL Got everything installed and road tested it today. Everything stayed put just fine. This thread gave me soooo many ideas. For now I'm just going to make sure I can get where I go and back with everything.... Nall Bound!!! WAHOO!!!
Nice!!! You Got Skills for sure!!! Also great taste in rides ! Gotta love those Jeeps ! Going to make some of those brackets too... You have me thinking about the floor though...

it sounds worse than it is, I used the Valspar Non-Skid paint.. it required an oil based primer to use on wood and is fuel/oil resistant while giving a sure footing so I can't slip and fall on my plane trying to get everything stowed away when a freak thunderstorm attacks our field. We just wait it out as they usually only last 15 min or so. So far I love my Jeep also... especially the Hemi The factory hitch on the Overland is so high from the ground I ended up getting a 7 1/2" drop hitch and now the trailer is just a slight nose high.

What is the black area on your headers? Is that high temp heat shrink?

Yes, hi-temp shrink tape, keeps the flex area of the header more stiffer

Mine is still a blank canvas. I have been waiting for temperatures to warm up enough for me to start working on it.
