I don't know what the prop constants are for the Falcon props but I would imagine they are not that far off from Mejzliks. The 30x13 Mej was turning 6400 static and the Falcon was 6150. Still in the power band but not high enough to really rip. The speed can be controlled by throttle and the down-lines, strangely enough, were not any faster...they may have slowed down slightly. The landing speed is a pretty good clip if your idle is too high so you may want to put in a landing idle switch or something. The comparfs are pretty fast planes anyway so it may not be so much a problem with the balsas.

I don't think 30x12 mej is a loud prop. very manageable and very good pull..

Yeah I guess I will go with the 30 x 12 since I can get it for cheap. I may eventually get a 3BL set up just to try it out.

I had this on my DA150 with RE3's. Unless i was WOT, the noise level was pretty low. The Fuchs 30/12 i liked even better. Less weight, i think it had better pull and also was very quiet.

DA 150 on RE3 with 30-12 Mej is the best combination, in terms of power, noise, throttle response for 3D and Imac. And thats compared to 32-10 mej, 28.5-12 3 blade, on RE3 and MTW cannisters. I just leave the 30-12 on, got tired of switching and spending hundreds on props, spinner combos. After 2 seasons I am coming to the same conclusion for the 30-13 Mej for DA 170-RE3 combo. I have the 29-12 3B but have not tried it. In terms of noise the 30-12 and 30-13 props both rip on level flight, but why go max throttle on level flight in IMAC anyway?

This is the prop i have used for over year on my DA170 RE3 powered AW extra 300. i really liked this prop alot. unless your WOT, the prop is quiet with really good pull. Downline braking was very good also. I wont give this prop up unless a falcon 30/13 is more than what i am expecting. I believe my combo was spinning it at 6K even.

Any idea what your all up weight is minus gas ?

DA 170, RE3's, 30-12 Mejzlik (standard) 6400 RPM on the ground. Perfect. Its a great combo. Tried many others......trust me!!!

Mine is a 29x 12 3-blade Mej turning close to 6800 RPM on the ground. (verified with 3 separate tachs).
