not trying to mean anything wrong with rick bobby as saftey officer , he'd be great. but do you think its more beneficial for someone closer ,that goes to the track more often be more suited for the position?i mean , he goes a handful of times a year when there are some that go a handful of times each week.....maybe none of them stepped up.

If Scott and Jay don't mind I'd like to answer this. The same issue was brought up when I was elected Safety Officer of my home club. The answer is every pilot that flies there is his own safety officer. We all know when an action is dangerous and shouldn't be done. There is no reason an elected Safety Officer should be viewed as the club's police officer or as some have put it the Fun Police. We're all here to have fun safely. Al Kanser AMA Dist. II Safety Coordinator

To add to what Al has said, we only have a S O because the AMA requiers it . We all stay pretty safe .

I have owned my trusty RealFlight set up for over five years. I decide that this year, I MUST become a better pilot. I have been logging over an hour a day of just hover, torque roll, rolling circles and just hammering the damn rudder control in any attitude into my thick skull. I start to make progress, and today my wifes cat knocks my interlink off, it lands face down, and shatters the gimbals on the right stick. Thanks for sending up that adapter Scott, without it I'm SOL.
