exponential 3D and Pattern!

I was wondering. what kind of exponential settings are commonly used for 3D and Pattern. I fly a funny kind of set up in which my 3D throws have 80 percent exponential. and my pattern throws are also set up hot with 60 percent exponential. I use the same rudder throws for both 3D and pattern just with very heavy exponential.

plus i am a thumb and finger flier. does this effect how much expo we like to use?

stick length on your tx can have a major influence of the expo 'feel' as well. I run 38 degrees of aileron at all times and have 40% expo and short sticks on the tx. On elevator I run 60% expo and about 45-50 degrees of throw on high and about 14 degrees on low with 35% expo. About the same, 45-50 high/60% and 12 low/35%
It's going to be a different preference for everyone, but I can tell you that running 3D rates on your rudder at all times is going to make snaps a beotch. You really should set up a low rate. A good rule of thumb is just enough throw to sustain knife edge at about 5/8 throttle - that's usually 10-15 degrees.

The above settings are what I use on my 40% Extra 300. I fly with thumbs.
