Guys the dle 20 mufflers will not fit the 23, however if you want to use the 20 muffler on the jc23evo you will need to tap the motor to accept one of the bolts.

I was asking if the DLE55 muffler would fit the JC60. The JC51 was different to the DLE & I hope they have fixed it on the 60?

I measured dimensions from picture (considering the scale) seems to get fitted perfectly (95% sure)!

Any update yet?!

I've bought a new 50cc size airframe and need an engine that runs responsive enough on pitts (don't want to cut cowl for stock muffler). JC seems to be powerful enough. but not sure how responsive in mid range (i fly mostly 3D)! any link to video of a JC60evo on pitts is appreciated.

thanks,
bob

Full Spool.......I own and fly a JC 53 aka area 51. Once Milton got me the "good" crank/rod/bearing it has been a good, strong, reliable engine. The bad thing is that as far as I can tell it is a orphan. I do my own engine work so parts availability is important to me. My plan is to use it until it fails or wears out and them discard it. Now......what would it talke to get me to buy another JC? I just happen to be in the market for a 50-60cc engine. BTW...the pitts type muffler is a plus. I have a pile of standard mufflers that I never use.

This is what I would do if I were in your shoes. When you get sample 60s (get more than one) do the tests and breakdown inspection that you have described. Then put several in the hands of active flyers that are able to fly in winter.
Have them fly them long enough for a good trial. If they pass that test then and only then would I offer the engine for sale. Offer a good deal and get another 10-20 in the field. Set back and see what happens. Try to get one of these folks to do a review on FG. Stock a small amount of parts and take care of warrenty issues to avoid "bad press". The 120cc. if sucessful, would be a good "flagship" product to put in a hands of a few good IMAC or 3 D guys for a season. Best of luck and I hope you are sucessful in the engine business.

The new 60 is fixing to be released, however it is still in testing. The last report was 7200 rpm with a 23x8 prop on the new cylinder.

In regards to parts I do stock some inventory for warranty replacements on the 23 and 30.

Thanks
