The field I normally fly at is a little short, and has a number of high power lines right at the approach end of the field. The technique required to land is more like a carrier landing. You must stay above the wires until you are sure you have cleared them, and then drop the plane in. If your plane doesn't slow down easily, it can be a real challenge. These wires have eaten more than a few planes. When I travel to other fields landing seem easy!

Steve, sounds like your field is a bit hairy. We have trees at the right side of the runway that have caught quite a few planes. I clear the trees, descend, and then maintain positive aoa to slow it down.

Well I FINALLY got to take the 260 out again. I met up with Jagerbomb and Greyhoundman last night after work. I put three flights on the 260. What an awesome flying plane. I'm going to have to re-learn how to fly now that the plane actually goes where I tell it to go. Now I won't have an excuse for flying bad. This plane is going to make me become a better pilot. I can't wait to get it out again. No landing issues at all this time. I adjusted my idle some more and she slows down just fine now.

HAHA Dave, I said the exact same line a few weeks back.
The plane flys so well, that it did make me a better pilot in a short 3 weeks. BUT, not when I maul a snap, of flop over on a rudder turn, there is only ME to blame.

But yea... very nice plane.

I had a great time hangin with Cracky. He even let me shag on her. I was very impressed with the way she flew. Everything I threw at her she performed easily. I even did a low energy broken chicken wing and it showed that it could be done smoothly. Cracky, you done good!

i finally finished and flew my extra today and it was a blast. the build was as easy as could be with the hard stuff done(except the canopy). i didn't install the wheel pants or use a spinner yet and the weight came in at 25lbs 14 oz in a digital freon scale so it should be right. i don't now if i will feel the same love for the extra that i did for the QQ yak but after only 5 flights i am on my way.

Did you mount both of your rudder servo in the tail or did you fashion a pull-pull?

both rudder servos in the tail but my plane came in tail heavy without the spinner. i need to add a spinner or move the rudder servos forward.
