Sorry I missed you Tom. At least you didn't ruin another pair of tennis shoes from the girl doing her thing!! lol... Maybe next year. Hope you enjoyed the event. It was really hot the first few days. I think the end of the week was better anyhow.

This post is not about the M12 but a good day at the Airshow!

Westmoreland County Airshow 2015.

Thanks to our friend Matt Chapman for once again putting the twinkle in little guys eyes! Well myself included but..

What a show: Bill Stein, Rob Holland, Mike Goulian, Matt... and many more.

A great day if you love aviation.

Was Rob flying his MSX-RH, or that Extra?

Yes it was a few of the best. It's rare to see all these guys at one place. Oshkosh maybe...

Rob flew the MSX-RH. Didn't know Rob was so tall. A big guy in that little skinny airplane!

The orange Pitts was Michael Wiskus. He put on a nice show as well. Talked to him a bit. His plane is rare as they only made 3 of them. It's an S1 11? Would make an absolutely wonderful model.. hmmm...

Thanks Tom. Matt is the definition of a great guy and a perfect ambassador for our love.

Nope the M12 is sitting where I parked it after Joe Nall. I had it on static display last year at this airshow. Didn't take it this year. We dodged major thunderstorms this weekend.

Not sure when I'll fly it next. The AMA waiver is expired at the moment.

Ahh....yes, now I see that pic of Rob's plane. The Windows-on-the-World logos on the Extra threw me a tad. Going blind in my old age!

Hey there Karl,

Your pics triggered a memory bug about the Pitts S1 11...took some photos when Mike was doing an airshow in Indianapolis IN in 2009

Hey Bill,
Hope all is well. I really like that little plane. I have the nose bowl for a 50% complements of Roger Forgues. Not sayin...

I started my conversation with Mike saying "please take this as a compliment but I told my wife I didn't know Sean Tucker was going to be here too!" He just smiled as he wiped down his baby. Then he said "Sean Tucker doesn't clean his own plane."

We both laughed. Mike told me the S1 11 actually has S2 wings. I'm not saying that little plane really has my attention but.........

If it just didn't have 2 wings!! lol....

Have you been flying your Valach Ford girl any Bill?

Karl,

Unfortunately time has been my enemy over the past 3 to 4 years and the 58% Pitts remains hanging from the garage ceiling, along with the 50% Challenger II.

Not to say that the diversions haven't been welcome (new grandson, different job, etc.) but it's getting to the point where I'll be making a decision on my path forward that may result in those planes, and a few more, being listed for sale.

Bill

Finally am getting around to installing those SERVO BOXES good friend RCPilot82 (Mr. Rob Whalen) designed for a project in progress.

They are perfect! Makes things easy and will be first class no doubt.

Contact Rob and I'm sure he would be glad to burn a few for you.
