Capt. Roll, Thanks for posting the in-flight fuel tank video. Below is a link to the IMAC site, along with some great discussion on the issue. Seams like Pistolera has been there and done that. I can see this being a real issue on a 42% with their fuel flow volume needs. Also wonder if a typically narrow 16 to 20 oz tank won't suffer a clunk hang up without the brass section in the tank. I will do a mock up to see what happens on a small tank without the brass.

I can say this, in a 1 liter or 1.5 liter Fiji bottle the Viton tubing cannot fold foward on itself and get to the front of the bottle. Well, maybe if the plane impacted the ground nose first .

And in a large fat 2 liter Ocean Spray juice bottle it can go forward....if you hold it with the cap down and shake it up and down a bit, but will always flop back to the rear when the cap is pointed up again.

Also, while Viton is much more flexible than Tygon, it does not pinch itself closed when it sags back on itself. Good stuff

It will fold forward but not without shaking the bottle.......I am not taking anymore chances, I have had 2 dead sticks with the fiji bottle, may not be as lucky the next time, so I am going back to the old tried and true 50oz dubro tank.

I know, but I just don't trust it.
It was part of the reason I did not fly the last round at Pegasus, so to get some piece of mind back I am replacing it with the Dubro tank.

Hi guys,
When I started reading about soda bottle tanks I bumped into a thread here in FG that in one of the firsts posts was a bunch of links on where to buy all the different fittings, nylon, 90 degrees etc. that for the life of me I canoot find again.
I wonder if anybody knows what I'm talking about and has it bookmarked or something.
Thanks

Nice! what was the brand and size of bottle? I used the stock tank on my profile but going clear will allow me to check fuel level in flight.

Quick question. Anyone know where to buy a 90° 1/8" barbed fuel fitting? Any suggestions or recommendation would be greatly appreciated.
