Dave, do you know what headerlenght i shall use on the GP-88/proflow? Do i use the full lenght on the DA-85 header?
I think the canister comes to far back. Aw have two big airvents under and usely the exhaust comes out of the one in the front, but on mine it comes out of the secound one. But maybe it ok when it a singel with that long header?

Hi Anders, I just went with the tried and true 10.5" on the 176 and it worked great.
So on the 88 I will recomend you start at 10 3/4" and see how that works.

Not yet. I have been swamped with building here. I will try and get some this weekend. I was talking with Fergus last night and he was saying that he wanted to move to California. It would be nice to have him for a flying partner for sure. The motor runs awesome on the Pro Flows and is very smooth. I can't wait to hear from you on the 88 report.

No problem Mike. I'm installing a set on a Hemple 46% Pawnee that I'm building for a customer. It's a very nice looking plane and should preform like a champ with the awesome 3W-210TS. Being used for Glider tow. It will be a show stopper for sure.

Eric, You are supposed to be typing something for me.... LOL

I'm wearing my pro flow shirt today
I fired up my dle55 with the can yesterday, I didn't go to WOT, but it sounded awesome. Fantastic low rumble at mid throttle.
I have some questions about the set up though. I have one of those mtw flex headers that has the white tape wrapped around the flex part, and I noticed that during running, the white tape got a brown color, and got all oiley. Also I put rtv gasket sealer on the joint between the header and can, but now the area under the teflon is quite black. I know I'm rich (spark plug was dripping, haven't had time to tune it yet) and I'm running stihl at a heavy dose, about 30:1. Its a new engine (no more than seven tanks through it) and I'm just wondering is this black crap normal on the flex and joint, or will it go away with less oil and tuning?
Thanks!

If you're running stihl HP Ultra you really only need 40:1 for life and you'll be fine. How exactly rich are you on your needles?? All six of my 55's are within a couple of "small" hairs within 1 1/4 out on L and 1 1/2" out on H and I have no black gunk building up.
