Rusty i had one and didnt like.. at all

Why didnt you like it ? I was looking at the 70" but i was advised this would be the better choice for my DLE 30 . I had a 48" but gave it away to a buddy who could fly the s,h,i,t out of it .

....my buddy had one with a dle 30 on it .it did not have a good get up and go power .it flow good but need a bigger motor.it was the motor that was on the yak i brought down.yousaw how that motor thrown around that yak .

p-huck , that is what i was worried about . i may just back down to the 70"

Yea, 30 is so so. I think a Mintor or DLE 35 might be a good match

Rusty, i went to the Ohio huckfest this past weekend and picked up one of these.71"AJ Slick. I saw guys beat the crap out of them. This is my first 3-dhobbyshop purchase besides my velox with a dle 20 on it. Have a mintor 33 going in it. Should be ready for maiden on Sunday.

Figure i will buy a few servos for what ever i get . So i have 3 of these coming from Amazon.com Savox SC-1258TG

Next time get the Align DS610 - it's the same servo, but can be had for about $40 cheaper for a set of three.

Are align and Savox made by the same company ?

I actually put the Mintor in a cheap "beaver" i bought to break in the engine last winter. with the thought of putting it in this plane. I knew 3-dhobbyshop would be at the huckfest so i could save shipping and save a few bucks off the purchase of the plane. The Mintor has run flawless so far. But last time i had the "beaver" out it came back with no counter balances on it.. Im going to put one of my saito nitro's on the beaver as its just going to be for float fly-ins and winter ski's. If you go to the 71" slick 540 thread there is a guy on there that has the 33 mintor on it, i have been chatting with him about it. Very impressed with the Mintor so far.

As are some Spektrum servos. You have to compare specs or just search around online to get the comparable servo. Align includes your servos in just about every kit they sell, so new owners that want upgraded servos will dump their Aligns (re-badged Savox's) on the market at a discount. Ebay is littered with them.
