Dear all,
I believe that most were pulling out of the ASAA Championships because they had no chance against the Kiwis. The New Zealanders are the life of the party and the Best pilots.

Bogan is one of the worlds most recognizable icons and a great ambassador of our sport. I know the Americans, Brits, Germans, Austrians, Mexicans and Canadians love him.

I suggest the Aussies man up, buy a chime and savatage his van. If you dare!

My family and I have enjoyed every IMAC trip away and are sadly unable to attend Perth this year.
Fortunately for me, my family live and breathe the sport so i can live a part of it everyday. However, we can not afford my wife's shopping spree in Perth.....

Bones informs me that for the last couple of years at Tucson they flew dual flight line.
I didnt notice this year, the 1,560 flights from everyone during the 5 days of contest plus the 3 days of practice. Oh and there was 2 flight lines again, what a surprise!

I wish we could save the sheep from you Kiwis. It can only say "the Kiwi is a liar" so many times before its battery runs flat.

All I am trying it say is, if you can go then go.

David

60% of all the Northern territory IMAC competitors are going to Perth, in three classes.
We are quite happy with 2 flight lines, very capable of putting up with Kiwis and quite happy to coach any beer drinking teams that may need some expert advise.
The Gauntlet has been thrown.

And so modest!!

After all that has been said, the comp will only be what we make of it, the locals that arent attending is not a fantastic outcome but its not the end of the world.. lets just get out, fly as many rounds as possible and have some fun!!!

I am personally looking forward to meeting all the NSW, NT and WA pilots I havent yet met.. Looking forward to seeing everyone here in Perth!!

less people means more flying remember!! can we expect some displays bogan???

Aren't many of the "Locals" that are competing originally Kiwis anyway?
Maybe we should hold out next Nats in NZ

This year I was 100% commited to go to Perth, even convinced the family to meet me there after the comp and stay for another week, I would of flown in Advanced and beten all the Kiwis, well that was the plan untill some Idoit Motorest rearanged my leg, beeing self employed and not beeing able to work for the last 6 months has taken a huge financel loss
As for 2 flightlines my first ever comp was Bendigo when they ran 2 lines so its not a issue for me.

had not flown for 2 years until I heard about the Nats.
Only flown the MAA nats and 1 comp, and a dozen flights in-between.
I was scared sh1tless of two flight lines but still giving it a go in sportsman.

Hey Bogan and co, when do you guys arrive and do you need a hand transporting models? Have a wagon and work/live 10 min from airport.
Les.

I thought the likes of Bogan coming over here would have been a draw-card for others to come.
Lot of west Aussie's travel east a couple of times a year but we have never seen any come over here lot of broken promises.

To those who can afford the trip this year I congratulate you and wish you guys an awesome comp. The reality is that here in Aussie land, for a lot of people this year has been about survival trying to keep your business, low job security and even the possibility of losing family homes.
The guys I know “if you said jump on a plane and go play with your mates for a week" would jump at it!!!!
At the end of the day this is a hobby, to which we enjoy and participate, but the budget has a place for hobbies and at the end of the day it comes a second

To the guys in Perth I am sure you will hold an awesome event, wish I could be there. I know a lot of guys on the East Coast timing and finances prevent us from attending

Just my two cents
Cheers Brian
