For Hitec pot Just call Mike Mayberry thats what I did....

for the round Futaba pot that I retrofitted I had to order from a local hobbyshop .I called Futaba up to get the part no. after being asked what for and why they gave it to me. The key is to tell your local hobbyshop to special order it though there Great Planes supplier with the part no. from Futaba otherwise they don't know what to do.

This is Rachael's' vid of my servo after she fixed the factory defects. Looks very solid so far.

I am currently working with her to put together PART 6 of the video series. She will demonstrate the fixed servo with a(wighted 10'' wire arm test) along with the (flight surface test) on her EF125'' Extra 300 with a fully charged lipo. ......while juggling flaming torches...right Rach?

Hey guy's/gal's,,,,,,,

Great deal going on a soldering iron....for today only!....Cyber Monday...

Tower hobbies...=Price‡
119.99 Tower's Low Price $59.98 Stock Status
In Stock

This is a Hakko soldering station...so couldn't resist....I sill may purchase the digital hakko 951, but I believe a guy purchased a Scratch & dent for 50$ so this is pretty good price....

This should suffice for my soldering needs while fixing my servos!

If Hitec would sell their servos to me (no one is going to want them when word gets out)
I could solder in fix-it parts and split it with Mrs M.....

This would be one way to have a good servo that worked well...

I would have to place a different sticker on the package though!....
This way it would be legitimate!....

Too bad, as the Hitec servos have awesome centering...but poor Q&A has plagued their assembly line and Engineers.... Too bad there is such a communication gap between the Hitec team and the big heads ...

When hitec said "where hiring Engineers for our factory's" all the train engineers where hired by mistake...

I am confined to bed at present as soon as I am well, I will post the fix with photos of each part and supply instructions including a list of tools and parts and where to get them. Most will be JAYCAR as you can get their stuff in Aus,USA,Canada and England.
I may start a new thread Headed HITEC 795?? FIX so all the instructions are at the beginning.
I think I will be able to start doing it next week.
NOTE: JAYCAR have a good little soldering iron and a .5mm Tip for less than $20.00 so hold on and wait for the list as I want to save every one money also cause I know we are not all millionairs.
REGARDS

I haven't touched a Hitec product since the first servo I bought from them failed less than a minute into its first flight. So I don't have a horse in this race at all.

But can I just say thanks to Rachael ( and the others who helped) on behalf of decent honest modellers everywhere for all the work she did and offer our her best wishes on a speedy recovery.

MIKE MAYBERRY,

WHAT IS HITEC DOING NOW THAT THE FIRMWARE FIX HAS FAILED?
WHEN WILL WE SEE A REAL FIX? HASN'T THIS GONE ON LONG ENOUGH...

I had to go back over 350 posts just to find your last comment. You have been spotted several times in here, why not give us Hitecs position on the failed firmware? WHAT DO WE HAVE TO DO TO GET A SOLUTION!

What bothers me amongst all the Hitec bashing is that nobody seems to have any replacements for the 7950. If I want to replace my 7950 with any other brand of servo in this torque class, the consensus here is they all have issues, correct?

I look forward to hearing your experience with them in a big plane. Frankly, I have had zero issues with the 7955's and I have a bunch of them.
