I don't know about why...but one of my planes was called "Turtle Nuts" by one of my buddies...funny thing is he has the same plane now...LOL

Just found out my 120 does not have the upgraded IKO bearings in the crank...

So that's why I got it for such a good price...

Hopefully it lasts a while, will have to keep an eye on it I guess.

Well.......FWIW, I have two of these "Early" 120's with MANY flights......still going just fine......I use "Stihl/Ultra" oil at 40/1.......again FWIW

There are 3 Non IKO early engines at my field. 2 are flown occasionally as part of larger fleets (no issues) and one is flown regularly. The high time one did fail within 1 month of the 18 mo warranty end date. Mike at MHRC took care of everything under warranty. BTW, very rarely does a crank bearing fail catastrophically without any warning. Usually they will develop a knocking sound that will get worse over time. Not sure about the 120 but 60 parts are not very expensive and even if we had to rebuild it on our dime it would not have been that bad and all new parts have the good bearings.
