Here are a couple of pics showing the 50% cub with new color scheme and amphibious floats just stuck on for the pic.. We are going to get the wings covered this week and should be flying again this next week. So far I have flown it on grass with no issues. Water should have no surprises, I hope! The retracts have been working well.

Working on the stremline tubing project! Should be soon.

Since we still do not have enough water in our lake yet we need pics and stories from up north where all the float plane flying is going on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nearby club ( south of us) is having a float fly this coming Sunday and hope to take that in with the TO . Am a little under the weather so will have to see. Will post pics if I go.

Just finished the new short nose version. Gold/yellow by K&B custom mix is closer than the factory trim. Will need a little weight in the nosecone to keep it minimal at coiuple of oz. looks like

I got my cub on floats. Maiden flight today. It was pretty tail heavy. Normal flight was fine but inverted and Knife Edge was a little scary.

I built this from a set of free plans I found at RCfoam.com,many mods to the original guys conception. Its all depron and covered with ultracote powered by 2 rimfire 300's on a 2200 3s. Counterotating of course. I've been flying it about a year of the ground but want to try on water. Tip floats had to be rebuilt cause the first set sunk.

Thanks for posting that. I hadn't see this yet. We've been having a blast all summer flying this plane. It gets better with every flight.

I don't have a real picture of the rest of the flying site but surprised that AMA will allow flying that close to spectators and camping area for the biggies ?

The pic shows the short side of the lake of which you see only half, if you go off the tail of the float plane in the pic the lake stretches 1/2---3/4 mi to the north. Spectators nor campers are below the flight line---at least not intentionally.
