If you want to go bigger than 32" definitely look at the 39" Edge from twisted. The 44" Slick is a fun plane as well.

If you do go 32" I vote for the Laser!

These look interesting as well. The aerobeez is a new foamy.

I have had several DW foamies brand foamies and love the way they fly, the guy that owns the company is great to work with as well. Indoor or there outdoor foamies fly extremely well. IMO getting a larger 48" outdoor foamy is one of the better ways to practise 3d without the fear of doing it with a larger much more expensive airframe.

Well cant decide on which foamy to get. I'am stuck between the Twisted Hobbies 39" Edge 540 or the 3DHS Exta 330SC foamies.. Decisions decisions. Seems like everyone recommends the twistedhobbies. Not many have said anything about the 3DHS foamies...

I don't think 3DHS sells their foamies anymore.

I see lots of folks selling foamies, but can personally vouch for the Twisted Hobby stuff. They fly well, are easily repairable and the TH motors are top-notch. I can run either 2 or 3S on my Crack Yak motors. 2S is preferable (to me) for indoors, and 3S supplies power to spare in outdoor environments.

Any 32"-34" Twisted Hobbys foamy. I have built, owned and flown all of them. They are EPP,
can really take some abuse and are well designed. Plus Twisted Hobbys has excellent customer service.
The owner returns emails promptly and their team pilots are readily accessible on RC Groups.

If you are learning and practicing new maneuvers, the depron foamies are like flying a glass plate.
You can really jack one up in a hurry.

My first foamie was the 3DHS one and the TH foamies are considerably better.

I have both the twisted hobbies 32" crack yak and Edge 540, they both fly great with the Edge being the more docile of the two. They fly perfectly indoors and outdoors with the stock power set up on 2s 450/ 9x 4.7 prop and they handle the wind great.

I also have the 3DHS 48" Extra and Yak. They also fly well on the stock set-up.

You said learn 3D as opposed to practice 3D, IMO, the TH planes are much easier to 3D and better to learn on because you're going to crash often, the TH planes, as mentioned earlier, are very easy to repair, the 3DHS planes are a boxed construction and while strong they don't crash well at all.

I like all the 32" to 34" Twisted Hobby foamies so much that I am buidling a 39" Edge right now. This bigger foamy has an airfoiled wing. It will be able to handle more wind, penetrate better and still be easy to transport. They fly so slow that guys are actually flying them indoors too. And on 3 cells, it should have awesome power!

The Crack Yak is awesome. Get the recommended setup from them and have fun.
