dle 170 front bearing

my dle 170 front bearing has rust coming out of it. can i replace it without pulling crank out? i was hoping i could just pull hub off.thanks

Nope, no different than the smaller engines, crank has to come out first.

Have you changed your bearing and did that help eliminate the knock? I'm asking because mine has one when I rotate it up against compression.
