I know you get the cool logging info too... And more choices on sensors. I think I have decided I will make the switch, have to wait until summer though.

this is my optical rpm sensor. It is installed on the cowl top piece. Very very easy to install.
This is the same as an optical tachometer, that we are all accustomed to using. You have to program it for 2 blade, 3 blade, or 4 blade.

It also has to be "sunny" when you use it, meaning, outdoor lighting.
it works flawlessly. Even when cloudy, it works. I imagine, it would not work if i did night flying (which i have never done!!!).

once you get the Jeti system, you will never look back.

I took my time in making the hole using a reamer. it is press-fit in, with glue. then the cowl has two wire keepers/fasteners glued in. the lead is covered in snakeskin, to protect it, and held down with the wire-keep.

I want to apologize to the OP for derailing his thread.
With my DLE-55 the Jeti MRPM-AC connects directly to the RCexl Tach output and works flawlessly (once you get the correct polarity). On the ground Ill see 6800rpm with a Falcon 23x9, in the air 8100 at times, at 2500' ele. I have a high RPM warning at 8K.

I have an extra MRPM-AC sensor, Im going to try it Y-ed off my new MVVS-116 pickup, but I suspect I will need and will be using the optical sensor.

i have the same radio!!

ok, on my RPM, i set a low rpm alarm, that way, i will know if it dead-sticks,.
