There is a hell of a difference between a surface fluttering and just jittering. True flutter can be caused by many things, unsealed hinge lines isn't one of them. Jitter is annoying (hey Hitec). Flutter will take the tail off.

Ok just a jitter. And yes the JR get the jitters. I have been dealing with that for years. The way I deal with that is I have two spares. I put the two spares in where the jitters are and send them in. No down time and horizon puts the fix on em and they set till the next two get the jitters. I have 8711s in two planes and yes I am gitten tird of the jitters. That is why I tryed the XQs from redwing. But I had a problem with one XQ and e-mailed redwing about it. Waited 10 days no answer. So I flew off the handle a little bit and sent them anouther e-mail I got a responce this time but it did not change my mind. Redwing is done no more money from me. I am using my XQ 4020 for a paper weight. They are about 1/3 the cost of JR so you just throw them in the trash. Disposable servos. But I have herd some other servos on FG you guys are talking about that I am going to start using. JR has just priced them selfs out of the market. Ok I know you guys know it all this is just my opinion. Just let me have it and be easy no me.

I have now replaced all my JR 8711's with savox 1231 SG's and have not looked back. Very impressed with the performance. There's 4 of them going into my new slab build.

What kind of grease you using.

Automotive chassis lube. Look/ask for the sticky stuff, and it's generally red. It doesn't sling off very easily. Think slippery tar.

Ok yeah I know the different greases. I work in a forging plant so everything is covered in grease and my dad sells all sorts of lubricants.

Man I can not believe how many 8711 are in that pic. I thought I had a lot with 18 but you take the cake. There are some real RC nuts on here. I thought I was about the most addicted person to RC there was but you proved me wrong. Thanks I feel a lot better now.

Yea, I thought a couple of backup servos was enough. With that many extra servos I would be looking for something to put them in. So for me to have back up servos I must have less than a plane requires.
