few little notes ;
the runway is only like 3000x300 paved , on about 40 acres ..there is plenty of room for RV's and campers ( primitive ) and is located at the Deland Airport ..Hotels are less than 3 miles away , with the beach only like 20 miles away if the wifes want to go to the beach ..We are looking to have a freaking Blast , do some Great flying , and have one heck of a Huckfest ....

as Sleepy said , this is across the street from Chief Aircraft ..

Hi Guys,
I'm the secretary of the DeLand Golden Hawks RC Club. I just wanted to give you guys a bit of info. Last night at our monthly club meeting, the membership unanimously approved support for the Huckfest in November. Proceeds over and above the cost of puting on this event will be used to buy gifts for the Toys For Tots charity run by the U.S. Marines.

Let's hope it will be successful and that the DeLand Golden Hawks will be able to make a substantial offering to that charity for the benefit of some unfortunate youngsters.
