The full snaps tend to really throw the aircraft off track either up or down depending on type of snap. If you are still doing full it will be time to learn the other way quick.
Don't let the JUDGES catch you doing that.... Big Fat "0"

There is no such thing as an "IMAC" snap. Elevator should be held all the way around till you release for recovery. There are NO downgrades for vertical or horizontal displacements in a snap.

Your right. On a simulator video you won't get dinged for it.

In real life you are running the risk of a huge downgrade or a zero for not using pitch during the rotation of a snap.
I am better at it than I used to be but will fully admit I roll out at times.
Locally, it's never an issue. Tucson, Clover, or the Nats is a different story.

Re: 2010 sportsman manuver 10

It took me a long time to unload the elevator during a snap. Once I got the timing down I started to under-rotate on my snaps and found it very easy to compensate by holding aileron. Now that is driving me nuts as I tend to over-rotate and not get that crisp stop. So it is a catch 22 for me sometimes, bury the elevator and slooooooow momentum get a good wings level exit or back off the elevator and risk over/under rotating. I find myself under-rotating because it easier to correct without a big eyepopping movment...
Maybe a day of fine tuning in the spring will be in order, get serious for a season or two and catch up on my skills...

So in effect, the catalog includes all maneuvers that are flown in constructed sequences for both disciplines.
Maybe you can enlighten us on the maneuvers that we use in IMAC for competition that meet the category you are addressing?

well i was talking to a few of my friends who fly full scale and RC, they were looking at the 08 unlimited know sequence and were saying how hard it would be in the full scale, i guess i worded my previous post wrong... its not so much that we have maneuvers in IMAc that the full scale dont do but the fact that we put our planes through a sequence that would be hell on a pilot in full scale. they were saying how the IMAC advnced sequence was similar to their advanced sequence and the advanced IMAC was closr to the unlimited. but the inlimited class would be do physically demanding on for the majority of pilots to handle.

Lol I like all the complaints about the snap on #4, when I find the hardest to do #1 and stay on that inverted 45degree upline along with the same heading when doing the roll.

On the way up. You should be seeing the belly of the plane when you fly the stall turn.
