Yes, I agree thats why I would like to see Bob's interpretation. There has been an interesting thread on the IMAC list on this very subject. Also note the Somenzini Yak.

He took monokote samples to the local auto paint supplier and had them custom match it.

I dont see the cowling issue, it looks almost identical to the 35% Mike McConville 260 cowling to me.

I think the plane is awesome looking, the beauty about this is that it is a kit! You dont like the look of something, then alter it to fit your opinion...

Hi Tex I'm sorry I have hurt your feelings, I would also like to appologise to Bob if he has taken offense.

Bob I very much admire this build especially as it will be offered as a kit. I understand that this is a prototype and it will be interesting to see how it develops into the production version. As a fellow designer/builder I am interested in your design approach as I am always keen to learn from others.

Bob, when are you going to do some more on the 80% 260? Looking forward to seeing that.
Nice work on the 55%!

As a designer I am interested in your approach to the 10% rule. Do you have an outline drawing of your model that I could compare to the 3 view? BTW this 3 view shows rather large spats compared to the photos of the Wagstaff aeroplane. The only other 3 view I know of is in the Bob Banka photo pack 1600-3V but I havent seen it.
Looks like Patty liked black too.

I'm glad you posted a pic of THE 260. I'm sure they had to wipe my oily paw prints off the spinner once. That's about all you can reach wthout getting arrested !

Bob great plane !

Your signature sure reminds me of the first electrical outfit I worked with. Their motto was "Make it work with what ya got" and OUR motto was " We have to make it work with nothing at all".

I think that it looks like one of the Red Bull racers with the canopy painted that way, looks good Bob.
