BME Engines help.

I have been trying to contact BME about an engine.
I have called every day for the last 2 weeks and just get the answering machine.
I have been leaving messages. Now today the answering machine is not even answering.
I have been calling 1-254-836-0835 from their web site.

Does anyone have a different number or an email or some way to contact them?

Re: BME Engines help.

I have only been able to reach Keith at around 4:00pm central time. Somtimes it takes me several days before I get lucky. This is THE reason my new engine is not from BME!

Try BMEENGINE@aol.com
Keith is really good about answering e-mails.

That might have been a good move to have an exclusive dealer that can answer the phone and questions. Keith has his hands full building and designing engines.

If you're calling about the elusive BME 55, forget about it. He already went on another site and said he pretty much cannot set a date, but that it was definitely not happening in June and July was a longshot.

I own 3 BME's and must say that Keith has been very good about returning my calls. In fact, I spoke with him to today as completed a repair job. Turn around time was two days.

I just want to let everyone know that Don's Hobbies will be taking all calls for BME.
Don has taken all sales and will answer all questions about the BME engines.
The deal was done this week so this is new to everyone. It will now give Keith
time to Build and repair the BME engines.
Here are Don's info.

Re: BME Engines help.

Todd, this is the single best thing Keith has done in YEARS! I was one of his very early distributors of the BME 5.8 and I know his biggest single worry is quality control. Thus he has kept his business close to family and friends (you being a good friend who has put many hours putting these things together for him). Anyway, I'm glad to see he will now be able to concentrate on doing what he does best and give us motors...hopefully a BIG motor.

RTK:
I am trying that email

Bodywerks:
No I'm not after the elusive BME 55, yet.

I had spoke to Keith several months ago about a new prototype heli engine that I sent in for him to mod and I am designing the new Gohbee Stinger Gasser heli around.
I am just trying to get an update on that project.

Re: BME Engines help.

I had a LONG conversatin with Don at Don't hobbies today. Keith will be concentrating all his efforts on building and designing engines form now on, and Don's Hobby's will be handling the tech and sales side for him. Don is VERY knowledgeable about everything going on in the hobby, and was one of the first retail outlets for the BME engines some 7-8 years ago.

In fact. . I bought my FIRST BME5.8 form Don about 7 years ago.

Anyway, the gist of the arrangementis . . .You send your broken or damaged engines to Keith, and he will be repairing them ASAP and getting them turned around, as well as building new engines and doing R&D into new powerplants from the company. Keith spends a LOT of time on the phone, so he was unable to get WORK done, which meant production delays and taking more time than he liked to get repairs turned around to customers.

when you send enignes in for repair, be sure to include an Email address so that keith can contact you that way to give you a progress report on the engine. Do NOT expect to be able to contact Keith via telephone, because he will be busy working on engines for people. he may pick up the phone. . he may not. . there IS an answering machine however, so you can leave a message.

Remember. . ALL Tech questions are being handled by Don's Hobby's, our of Salinas Kansas.

Telephone: Tech Line: 785-827-3222. . . Order Line: 1-800-972-6273

AND . . .if you can't get hold of Don. . You can always ask ME. Being the Stalwart BME fanatic/supporter I am, I'll be taking steps to stay in contact with Don concerning goings-on with the BME engine line. If you have questions about the engines, and cannot get hold of Don during business hours, shoot me an IM on this site, or email me, and I'll get it answered as quickly as I can.

I'm actually thinking of starting an "Ask Kris^. . . BME Support forum" thread. why not? DA and 3W and ZDZ get tons of support. . may as well level the playing field.
