I would recomend a good ARL bulb to start, It gets you iluminating a little quicker. Even though it may not be as bright as some of the kitted bulbs it is great to start especially in the lower classes. |

Or it could just make you brighter than someone who stayed at a Holiday Inn last night. |

Re: Genesis of the marathon thread.
I ordered my bulb 3 weeks ago and havent gotten it yet. I guess Bultaba's are on backorder, may have to order a JB to tide me over, The fit in the socket is sloppy but thay are a little brighter.

I know that this is a little off topic, the thread is about light bulbs. But have you tried the light wire? This stuff is wild. You will need the proper driver and you might need a DC power supply if you are going to use it at home.
Sorry to interrupt the discussion. Go back to the conversation on Bulbs. |

Re: Genesis of the marathon thread.
ok what if you found the bulb, bought the bulb, installed the bulb, did a power check on the socket for the bulb voltage is good color is good switch works fine under a 2 amp load, you turn on the switch and the house glitches,is this caused by too much current going to the house or the bulb.does the bulb need to be a certian distance from the switch, should I use a standard extention cable or go industrial size, lets not even talk about mercury vapor bulbs and there high energy useage, or better yet how about metal halons, the old timers say to use what fits the situation at the time and what you are used to using, I myself like the bulbtaba 2675's for their superior lighting and very little voltage draw
