Nylon Couple

Guys, I have a DLE 170 with DLE headers AND RE3 pipes that I need a nylon coupler for. Since the neck on the RE3s is 28 mm and the DLE header is about 30.5 - 31.5 mm I need a nylon coupler machined to fit. I remember that a Fred Lamb has done this kind of thing before but I haven't seen him post in a while. So does he still do this kind of thing? If he doesn't who can make one for me?

I think if you look on Aircraft International's web site , they sell a Teflon coupler that is 28mmX30mm . I have two of them on my 3W170 and ProFlow's that are that size. Hope this helps.

Go by your local plumbers shop and see it he will stretch your coupler. Bring the header.. Most have a really nice hand held stretching tool for pex and hdpe pipe barbed fittings that will gently stretch the coupler so you can get it on the 30mm side. You have about 30 seconds to get it on before it will shrink back. You will have to cut it off as it will be tight!
