I did not like the pull/pull cable that came with the kit ,as it was not coated and the cable are crossed. So I bought Berkley Steelon 80lb coated fishing leader cable. I burned off the plastic coating where the crimps are.
When crossing pull pull cables put one ball link on top of the arm and one on the bottom, then the wires will not touch eachother when they cross.

What are the landing characteristics of this planes like, is it a fast landing plane or more of a floater?I'm kind of sick of fast landing planes,as I have a few.

I'm slow with this build.
Was going to do a single battery setup, but changed my mind. Going with 2 lipo or Life batteries 1400-1500mah ea. and 2 switches. I think the plane will be easier to balance with double batts. versus one batt all the way up on the firewall,I think anyway.

I think the batts will straddle the fuel tank. Added benefit,if I go lipo and have a crash, those lipos sitting next to the fuel tank will make for a spectacular Hollywood like fire bomb. No mess to clean up. lol

Hello all ... this is my first post on this site.. so yes I'm a newby here but I have been flying off and on for the last 25-30 years. Fwiw I would go with the 36 pte motor.I'm building this same model in the lightning bolt scheme and with that motor. I have been breaking it in on the bench and WOW its got some power. I know its a realitivly new motor out but do some reading on it..just my .02

Mine landed about medium speed. Maybe a little faster then an ugly stick.

I had a JC-28 in mine and it was way more power then it needed. 30cc of any brand will be great as long as they stay running.
