I had the OS-GT-55, then the DLE-55 and then the DA-60. That was pretty much the worst to best list, in order as well.

So True. Not my quote but related...

DA=CNC machined
DLE=Cast

Your gonna pay a bit more for the CNC machining of the da. Your also paying for exceptional service. I've never had anything bad to say about them they even stood behind one of the early runs of the 85 that I had and sent back 3 times in 20 flights and warren tied the engine and allowed me to upgrade to the 100 and just pay the difference. I've ran a couple different engines but won't go back to them yes they were good engines but they were either heavy or very hard to start and the customer service was non existant. Would I spend the extra for the reliability, durability and service from DA hell yes!! Worth every extra penny to know that they will stand behind their engines no matter what the age and bend over backwards to take care of their customers. Plus I would rather buy an American built engine that is putting money into the pockets of other fellow Americans and putting money into this great hobby of ours. Will I ever talk down to or talk crap about another engine without somebody asking my personal opinion NO buy what you want as long as it makes you happy and keep running it as long as it keeps you happy and allows you to enjoy flying your airplane.

I just did today my 101st flight on the DA-120 since September. It is been absolutely perfect, to the point that I have not even had to touch the needles even once. It has flown now in temps from 85F to 26F, and always runs the same. It starts easily, idles like a Cadillac and pulls the 26 pound AJSick like a leaf in the wind. It has never had a dead stick, and in hovers, pop-tops and elevators, I have total confidence. Yes, I will buy a 35 and a 70. Desert Aircraft is simply the best, period.

The naysayers and complainers will always be around, and not just in our hobby. DA will continue to build superior engines with more choices in size and configuration, better service, longevity, availability of parts, and both technical and financial support of competition flying.

Yup, which mfg. should we start harassing to get a 2-into-1 header for pipes / canisters?? Would be nice if a capable mfg. jumped on that so they are ready when the engine comes out.

Terry,
I'd be contacting the boys at Bisson and get them on it...... You're in capable hands with them.
