Those Chinese props are similar to a Menz-S blade profile, you know close but no cigar.
I like Biela and Mejzlik too.
Never saw anyone running a Vess, so don't have an opinion of them.
The answer to your statement is by flying them. I fly almost exclusively 3d so my statement is based on 3d performance. Recently I have begun to fly Xoar 3d props and I love them. I live at 5300 feet with density averaging 7500 feet in the summer, so thrust is VERY important. If you have never flown at elevation you dont understand. Anyway, I believe for the money that the Xoar props are the best 3d prop.

3D favors lightweight props that accelerate quickly, so wood always has the advantage there over a heavier composite prop. Thrust is important to me at lower altitude too. However, it's not that difficult to find adequate thrust with even a poorly designed prop near sea level. All things equal, the thrust to noise ratio is better with a Mejzlik, Biela, or Menz-S than a Xoar.

I"ve used a couple of these JXF props they"re slightly cheaper than "Xoar" but a little easier to find - most xoar dealers don't carry them

JXF is a factory in China, and sells ONLY in China. Xoar, represented by Kevin He is the export brand of JXF.

Kevin said:"all props sold outside China branded JXF is either shady china resales, or Chinese copies or elsewhere copies. Unfortunately, illegal copies of Xoar are marketed as well"
I, as Dutch dealer, cannot buy directly JXF. Only Xoar. I can have my own brand props made by JXF though, because JXF also produces to spec's handed to them. They make 3W props, Biela, etc. etc. They also make (made?) the Vess props.

Vess Stealth 28B on Da120 is like sex in a spinner. Just sayin.

After seeing you fly that bird yesterday, I'll agree 100%. Robert has the 32C on his site. Not sure if that will be too big a bite for the 170? Hope to talk to him tomorrow.
See you at the field Matt.

He will shoot you straight. I bet it will actually be the perfect prop since the big pilot edge is so light for it's size. Mejlik Evo 30x13 for IMAC, Vess Carbon to be a 3D stump puller. He designs all those props usually around the DA motors.
