How are the Taildraggers electric pump holding up? I am in the market for a electric one if there worth it. The small crank takes forever and the Dave brown are very tuff on the can.

This doesn't answer your question, but I use the MPi "gas or glo" hand crank. Just guessing, I'd say I fill a 32oz tank in under 2 minutes and there's no battery to forget to charge.

I can't give you long term data, but 3 times I have used it, it's worked well..

I am going on the second season with my personal electric pump we sell.. No metal in any filters, and it still pumps like it has from new. Running it on a 2300mah a123. Hope this helps

I know it's OT, since my oump it's not listed at all..... but I have been using the DLE hand crank pump for some time and it's by far the best fuel pumop ever! super fast, leak free and super smooth and easy to operate.


I got two (one for gas and one for smoke oil..) and on ticker fluids is a real beast!!

For hand pump I like the du bro & for electric I use an electric fuel pump from an old Suzuki 800 its outlasted every pump I have owned.

I have used the Jersey Modeler electric pump for over 3 years now. It was set up on a 5 gallon tank and I used a Li-ion battery (7.4v) for power.

It came with a filter pick-up in the bottom of the tank and also an in-line filter for the gas going into the airplane.

The electric pump has worked flawlessly over the time and I would highly recommend them.

I was always very skeptical about using battery/electricity so near to fuel, but after watching my friends use it for many years, I decided to take the leap... Had no regrets at all.

My son an I use the jersey 5 gallon also an I think we have been using it for around 2 years without any issues at all.
