well today I got home and set up to glue in the horns.. while that was going on a tornado warning hit, and was the closest one in a long time... once that past I sat back down to glue.. the 30 min resin was solid!! hows that for luck... I see how this is going to go.. Ill get some new epoxy and get this build going in a few days.. hahah.

Victim of the old "Solid as a Rock" Epoxy Syndrome. With me, it's usually the CA. I can use the bottle as a hammer.

Well with Gorilla Glue, you don't have to mix, and the glue is ready to use when you pull off the lid. Aaaand....once it dries, any dry glue foam that did stick to the covering picks right off.

Try this Mike. It works great for that application.

Re: Official Red Aero MXS-R 50cc Build Info

any chance you can post the gear used inthe demo plane, ie servos, batterys, ect, and a photo of the placements. yep a victem of solid glue I was. I do the same with CA.. we use so little that by the time it drys its not all gone, so I started getting the smaller bottles. And yes I sanded the horns, I also put low tak masking tape about 1/4 inch out from the horns so i can keep the junk off the covering as best as I can. Ill be able to work on it this week, once I get the glue it wont take long to make some progress.

Hi Mike, I used JR8611s on the ailerons and elevators, JR 8711 on the rudder and a 8411 on the throttle. Also a Hitec HS-85 choke servo. One 2300mah A123 from WrongwayRC powers everything. The battery is on the tray in front of the rudder servo. JR receiver. Stock Ti links and ball links . Oh, also the RC Excell ignition kill switch, again from WrongwayRC.
